In late June, nearly 700 guests joined us in the parking lot of Old Orchard Mall for an evening of reflection and hope at our exclusive outdoor premiere screening of Names, Not Numbers(c), a FYHS student-produced Holocaust film documentary.
This past year our students interviewed Mr. David Eisenman, Mr. Kurt Gutfreund, Rebbetzin Esther Levin, Rebbetzin Chaya Small and Mr. Mendel Tessler. In advance of the interview, our students attended sessions on emuna, bitachon, and the sensitivities they must have when talking with Survivors. The full-length film is available to watch online on at www.fyhs.co. This year’s Names, Not Numbers project launched in early November.
